Long Eaton United Ladies v Loughborough Foxes 7/10/2007 |

The Ladies today played host to Loughborough Foxes in their 3rd tie this season and this was a heavily fought game, with both teams playing some good football. Both teams had chance with some good end to end football, but it was the Foxes that broke the deadlock with a goal from a corner.
Long Eaton failed to clear the ball after the corner. Both sides had further chances to score, but it was Kirsty Gibson who got the equaliser for Long Eaton. Both sides continued to battle for the rest of the first half with some excellent football being played by both teams.
The second half got off to a start and both teams were still fighting to get control over the match. Long Eaton again conceded another goal from another poorly cleared corner. This raised the game for Long Eaton which saw the Ladies take control late on in the game to get a well deserved equaliser with a goal from Hayley Armstrong.
Manager Kev Hancock said “This is one of the toughest games the Ladies have played in the last 3 years. Loughborough played some excellent football which saw our ladies responed. This was a well deserved 2 -2 draw for Long Eaton.
Jodie Hancock for Long Eaton was awarded Player of the Match by the Foxes.
